I Heart Craigslist

Man, I love a good deal. And man, I love Craigslist! Thrift stores and consignment stores are great, but they are time-consuming. I love being able to sit down and search Craigslist for something specific. Like this beautiful new table and six chairs:

We are loving it. Best of all, it has a leaf that folds out of the middle to give us an extra 18" for really large gatherings. I'm pretty sure we could squeeze ten people around it without much trouble...which is bound to be a good thing with our large extended (and growing...wink, wink. Right, Hannah and Danielle? AHEM. Just sayin') families. Oh yes. I can just see the adorable cousins around it now :).

The cherry on top? Turning around and selling our old one the next day. Now THAT is efficient! It had been a great table, and endured me recovering its seat cushions (twice) and painting it, but it's always too small when we have guests. I'm sure it is having a great life at it's next home. Who knows-- maybe it will even get some fresh paint and seat covers!

OOh, me likey! I cannot wait to see it...and eat lots of fried food off of it. (Snort.)

EEEK! Tomorrow I will be residing with you! Do you have my chore list ready? ;)

HAHAHA! Is there any comment which can possible trump Della's snort?! I think not.

Your new table is BEAUTIFUL. I am doing my best to encourage cousin-making. haha. I even saw a "Get Pregnant, NOW!" book in Goodwill today, and thought, "how subtle!" to myself. ;)

p.s. getting rid of the old furniture after acquiring the new is the /real/ trick. I swear that is where the magic occurs. Great job!!!

Haha wow, I only just read this. Appropriate considering the conversation Ansil and I were having yesterday. It went something like this...

Ansil: I figure we should have 4-6 kids starting in the next couple of years and then if that works out just keep on going. I love large families.

Me: WHAT???

Ahem. :)
